4 Ingredient Energy Bites

These energy bites are so easy to make plus they are delicious! They are healthy and perfect for a mid-day snack or a pre-work snack! Very fulfilling and super easy! #easysnackrecipe #energybites #snack #preworkoutrecipe

The one thing I absolutely despise about cooking is the mess that I make. Am I the only one that makes a total mess? Even the simplest things turn into a war zone and a full dishwasher.

I know I’ve said it before but this is the perfect recipe to remind you of how easy cooking can be!

Why, you may ask?

Because this recipe takes ONE bowl and only FOUR ingredients!

What?!

Yup. It’s hard for even little ‘ole me to make a mess, which makes this recipe ten times more delicious.

This energy bite recipe is a great mid-day snack, pre-workout snack or simply a “eating because you’re bored” snack (I do not recommend this type of snacking, however, we’ve all been there…).

Not only are they super easy to make (have I mentioned this yet? :p) but it can be adjusted to how you like. I enjoy peanut butter, but that can be changed out for your favorite nut butter flavor. I like sweetness so I add maple syrup, you can add honey instead.

This energy bite recipe is totally customizable!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cup Quick Oats
  • 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup (or honey for less sweetness)
  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter (or nut butter of your choice)
  • 1/3 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Chia Seeds (Optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix all the ingredient together until well combined.

  2. When the ingredients are well mixed, take a small piece (approximately a tablespoon) and roll into a tight ball using both hands. Continue doing this until the mixture is completely gone. *The amount of energy bites you get depends on the size of the balls you create. I use a scooper to make the bites even sizes and to save time rolling.

Other Products That I Use and Loved With This Recipe:

Medium Scoop: This scooper allows for a great size consistency in this recipe as well as others. I often use this tool when baking cookies!

Mixing Bowls: I LOVE these mixing bowls! I use them for every recipe that require me to mix something together. They come in three sizes and are the perfect size to make mixing things easier! Trust me- look at my different recipes and you’ll see that I use them in EVERYTHING!

Butterfly Meadow Lenox Bowls: I have all the butterfly meadow plates, bowls, cups and glasses because that is how much I love this stuff! I use it everyday and the dish-ware still looks as good as new, plus isn’t the design pretty? A win-win for all!

I hope you enjoy these delicious energy bites as much as I do! Please let me know what you think and save and share this recipe for later! If you are interested in another healthy snack recipe, check out my Guacamole Avocado toast or my Parmesan Zucchini Crisps!
