Now that I am officially on winter break from school, I finally get a chance to read some more books!
Yay for me!
Of course, I started with my favorite authors’ new book. Surprise, surprise.
Hotshot Doc by R.S. Grey did not disappoint. It came from the point of view of surgical assistant, Bailey, who was trying to support her young sister. Bailey gets reassigned to a doctor that is known as one of the best pediatric complex spinal surgeons in the nation.
Matt, the “hotshot doc”, is not known for taking any shit from anyone on his team. This makes him come off as a very arrogant surgeon when really, he is just advocating for his patients.
As with all of R.S. Grey’s books, the humor from Bailey and Matt were right on point. I loved the supporting characters as well. Bailey’s sister was a large part of of Baileys character and I loved their relationship.
I’m not going to lie, this book hit a personal note for me. As you all know, I am finishing my nursing degree in less than 4 months (whoop!) and would love to work in the operating room. So of course, a book revolving around a hospital and operating room hits home for me.

I have to say, Hotshot Doc by R.S. Grey is definitely on top of my list of favorite books. I would rate it at a 4 stars out of 5.
I absolutely love this author and this book. It is definitely a book that hit close to home for me personally. However, I know it will be a book loved by you even if you don’t have any connection to a hospital or operating room.
Hotshot Doc contained great humor and a great romance (per usual ;)) which makes a perfect book to cuddle down and relax.
If you are looking for a great romantic comedy, I would highly recommend this book. If you already read this book, then check out my review on Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne. It is another incredible romantic comedy!
