One thing that everyone knows about me is that I absolutely love to travel. I want to travel just about everywhere the world has to offer.
And lucky for me, I will be graduating in May (you have NO idea how excited I am for this…) and I can finally start to travel to all the places I’ve been dying to go to!
You may be asking why I am telling you all my travel bucket list and I can tell you:
- To keep myself accountable
- So I can maybe inspire others to start checking things off THEIR travel bucket list.
I’m not going to lie, it terrifies me a little bit to think of the time and money it will take to go to all of these incredible places, however, its something I want to do so I’m going to do it.
If I have the list out in the public and people who are expecting to see and hear about my crazy trips, then I am more likely to get my butt into gear and start completing them…
At least that is what I keep telling myself… 😉
As I go through my travel bucket list you will see that I have some specific reasons for wanting to go places, but I also want to go to some places simply because. And of course, I do love traveling to Europe but I also want to visit some places in the US as well.
So, here we go!
Please note that these destinations are in no particular order, simply when I thought of adding them to my list! 🙂
Dream Destination #1: Germany
You guys may or may not know, but I am a total horse girl. I grew up riding and competing horses and the big thing in the horse world (especially dressage) was the imported warmbloods. Imported from where, you may ask? Germany.
Going to Germany is something I want to do because of the history but also because I have a slight obsession with horses and I think going to Germany to look and watch the best of the best in the horse world, would be incredible!

Dream Destination #2: England (London, specifically)
There is something about traveling to London, England that just makes me want to go! I want to see Buckingham palace and Big Ben. Plus, I’ve seen that they have some pretty incredible “library bars”…
…What can I say, I’m a book nerd…
Plus, they speak English. Which is a win-win for me as I was never the student that could pick up a language… (trust me, 5 years of Spanish and all I can say is “Hola”. That’s. it.)

Dream Destination #3: Ireland
Honestly, I have no specific reason to go here other than I just want to and I heard it is absolutely beautiful! That is a good enough reason for me!

Dream Destination #4: Greece
Have you guys seen the Greece coastal line? I mean, come on. Who wouldn’t want to go there? The beautiful coast and vibrant colors that Greece is known for is mainly why I want to go to Greece.
Plus, I heard the food is amazing!
Win-win for everyone!
Dream Destination #5: Poland
Have you guys seen some of the castles that reside in Poland? Yes, please!
Disclaimer- I want to go to every country to look at the incredible castles. Because of course, just about every country in Europe has at least one.
Poland also has some incredible hidden gems in the small villages and rich cultural background.
(I know, who are we kidding, I just want to go for the Castles..)

Dream Destination #6: Fiji
What?? Not someplace in Europe? Are there even castles in Fiji? (Can you hear my sarcasm…?)
Although there probably aren’t any castles (;P), I do love relaxing next to the beach in a overwater bungalow just as much I love learning about new cultures.
I live in Colorado, which is completely landlocked…I always want to go to the beach and what better place to do it than Fiji with the crystal clear waters?
Bora Bora, maybe?

Dream Destination #7: Bora Bora
Yup, you guessed it. For the same exact reasons as me wanting to go to Fiji, I want to go to Bora Bora. I mean, have you seen the overwater bungalows that Bora Bora has?
Who doesn’t want to stay there?

Dream Destination #8: Austria
And we are back to Europe… and for once, I don’t want to go to Austria to see the castles.. 😉
I want to go to Austria to see there incredible mountain ranges and villages! Like I said before, I am from CO so I have some pretty incredible mountains and villages here (have you see Vail? If not, check out my post on it and I’m sure you’ll want to go!), but I can guarantee Austria has some that are just as impressive with the historical factor that CO doesn’t have!

Dream Destination #9: Budapest, Hungary
What’s in Budapest you may ask? The architecture and the history.
Seriously, Hungary has so much WWII history inside of it plus the architecture is one of the best in the world (or so I’ve heard!).

Dream Destination #10: Switzerland
Remember my thing with mountain ranges and mountain villages? Yup, you guessed it. That is the sole reason I want to go to Switzerland!
Switzerland is someplace that I would absolutely love to travel to in the winter time (maybe around Christmas?) because I can only imagine the beauty that it encompasses when it is covered in snow. *sigh*

Dream Destination #11: Finland
Have you guys ever read about the Ice Igloos? Well, I have and that is a good enough reason for me to go to Finland! These ice igloos (or glass igloos) can provide you with the perfect view of the northern lights (which I am dying to see).
This would be the perfect destination for Christmas or winter time, for sure! Hotel Kakslauttanen Igloo Village is more specifically my destination, but I’m sure I’ll travel around Finland while I’m there too! 😉

Dream Destination #12: Paris, France
The city of Romance anyone?
Yup, I’m your stereotypical American who wants to go to France for the amazing pastries and the Eiffel Tower. Sue me.

Dream Destination: Italy- Completed
I was lucky enough to cross this amazing country off my list in High School. And I have to say- I have forever been ruined for Italian food and wine. They had delicious wines and the best food that you can even imagine! Plus, the architecture and history is always amazing.
To check out the quaint bed and breakfast that I stayed in, head over to my blog post to here all about it!

US Destinations:
I have been very blessed growing up that I have had the ability to travel to many places in the US. New Jersey, New York, Florida, California, etc. I’ve been tons of place, however there are still a couple of places that I would love to go to.
Dream Destination #13: Chicago
No particular reason other than I would love to see the city and the shops (because, seriously? Shopping is the best..)

Dream Destination #14: Seattle
Don’t judge me, but I’m a Grey’s Anatomy fan.

Dream Destination #15: Lake Tahoe
Mountains and a big lake? Yes, please!

Dream Destination #16: Boston
I’m going to get some serious flack, but here it goes- I am a die hard Patriots fan and have been since I was very very little. Plus, I heard Boston is an incredible city, so that is also a plus!

Dream Destination #17: Alaska
Have you guys ever seen the movie The Proposal?
Well, Alaska has natural beauty unlike any other place that I’ve seen and I really want to go there to see the incredible nature Alaska has to offer.

Dream Destinations #18: Hamptons
This is more to feed my curiosity. I mean, all the wealthy people go there so what is it about the Hamptons that attract people? The shore? The shops?
See? Curiosity.

Well, that is all I have for you right now. As I take my trips I will be putting a “Completed” by each one (like I did Italy) so you guys can see what I have and have not done!
I hope that by seeing my list that you all create your own and start going out and doing all of these incredible things! Traveling is something I’ve always wanted to do and now that I will be out of school for good, I will finally have a chance (or no longer have an excuse?) to do it!
I want to hear where you all have been and where your favorite travel destination is! Post them in the comments below!
Eventually I will get through these and will need some new places to add to the list! 🙂
Happy Traveling!Â
