Body Boss Method-Is It All That It Seems To Be?

A review on the BodyBoss Method for anyoone trying to exercise more or lose weight! #healthylifestyle #exercise #weightloss #loseweight #blogger

Something that is important to know about me is that I strongly dislike working out. The only reason I exercise is to be able to eat my yummy Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with as minimal guilt as possible.

If you are also a hater of the gym but want to lose weight, a book by Kelly Leveque may suit you as a way to lose weight without working out (*wink* *wink*). My post about Body Love and the Fab Four Lifestyle can be found HERE! If you are a gym lover, then continue reading about the Body Boss Method!

With that being said, when I do work out I tend to not have the motivation to do more then the absolute bare minimum. When I saw the Body Boss Method guide, I thought “Why not try it?”. What’s the worst that could happen?

About The Body Boss Method Guide:

The  Body Boss Method is a unique blend of exercises that supposedly help to accelerate fat loss and improve fitness.  The guide comes with a four week “Pre-Training”. The Pre-Training guide goes through and does exercises that are supposed to help prepare you for the actual training program. I say supposedly because I had to go through the Pre-Training twice. The guide then goes on to the actual training portion which increases the amount of intervals, the difficulty of the exercises, and the number of exercises, among other things.

My Feelings Regarding the Body Boss Method

Before I get on my high horse I am going to tell you that I like the guide. I like the guide because I am incredibly unmotivated when it comes to exercising and I need structure during my workouts. The Body Boss Guide does just that. It tells me exactly what I have to do  each day of the week to build muscle.

Now I’d like to move on to a couple of things that irk me about the product. The Body Boss Guide website says “Only 24 minutes, 3 times per week, 12 weeks for the ultimate body”. With that being said, the exercises themselves may be 24 minutes in length, however, if you add in the warmup and cool down, the total work out time comes out to 47 minutes. In the Pre Training with warm up and cool down, the exercises come out to be about 37 minutes long. Now If you are like me and do 30 minutes of cardio before you go through the guide, you are upwards of an hour and 20 minutes. I don’t know about anyone else, but I do not enjoy working out enough to spend almost an hour and a half in the gym. I find this to be completely misleading.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I like the guide as a way to give me different exercises each day when I am working out. If you choose to buy the guide, just know that it will take you longer than 24 minutes no matter what training program you are in ( if you choose to complete the warm up and cool down). Also, don’t be discouraged if it takes you longer than 12 weeks to complete the guide. I feel like the company may need to consider a “Couch to Pre-Training”, the Pre-Training and then the actual guide. I would just like to remind everyone that these thoughts are based on my own experience. These circumstances may be (and probably will be) different for others.
