Work Smarter, not Harder- Use a Blog Planner to Organize Your Growing Blog

Loved it? Share it!:

I am pretty sure that at some point or another, everyone reading this post has used a planner. You may have loved it and you continue to use a planner to schedule everything down to brushing your teeth. Or you may be like me and used a planner for a week or two, then figured it wasn’t worth it. Either way we can probably all agree that planners are awesome for organizing our lives (in theory), right?

Work Smarter; NOT Harder! Using a Blog Planner to Organize Your Growing Blog

I was wrong.. I can’t live without a Blog Planner..

Unfortunately, as I started blogging I realized that my previous life of not living by a planner was not going to work. Normally I can take dates, times and assignments and remember them, plan them out and organize my life, all in my head. When I started blogging, I thought it would be no different. I would just remember to post my blogs, I would remember to post on social media, and so on.

I am here to tell you I was wrong. I was LOUSY at remembering to do everything. It took a while for me to admit it (I mean let’s face it, I had my pride to think about) but you heard it here first.. I was wrong…

I don’t think anyone realizes just how much goes into blogging. I can tell you right now, I had NO idea. You had to make pictures, you have to post on social media, reply to comments, create blog posts, create graphics, manage your personal life and SO MUCH more! It is crazy to think about all of the time that goes into making (and maintaining) a successful blog.

Fear not, I did not write this blog post to scare anyone thinking about starting a blog. I am simply saying, with the right blog planner, you can work more efficiently and continue to have free time to spend on yourself!

The holy grail of all Blogging Planners!

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first about using a blog planner. But I have to tell you, this planner is amazing! I did some research and bought several planners and mixed and matched the best characters of each, to make my own blog planner.

My blog planner has everything from calendars, to note sections, to tracking of expenses and profits (because you will be making money soon, if not yet!), to password and username sheets (Yup, when you get all of your new accounts for your blog, you want to be able to remember the password..). This blogging planner has everything you need to plan and organize your blog so that you don’t forget anything.

The best thing about this planner? It is FREE! It has a $30+ value and it can convert even the most skeptical of people into planner lovers! At least, blog planner lovers 😉

“What do I do with this blog planner?”

You can do whatever you want. When I got my planner I created a binder that contained everything in the blog planner, with sheet protectors and color coded tabs. I know, OCD at it’s finest, none the less- it works! If you aren’t into that sort of thing, you can simply keep the sheets and information in folders or you can edit everything on your laptop or computer and save it from there.

The great thing, it is totally up to you! You can print it, print only certain pages, simply save it for reference, or get creative with it! Do whatever you think will allow you to get the most use of the planner. Using the planner can help you organize everything you need to do with your blog.

Most importantly, HAVE FUN! I will say this all the time, but it is truly so, so, SO important that you have fun with this! If you aren’t having fun then you aren’t doing it right! Or you are, you just aren’t passionate about what you are doing 😉 Have passion and have fun!

    • Using planners can be so helpful! I still haven’t learned my lesson and don’t use a planner for my personal/school life, however maybe one day I will learn 😉 Until then, I will use this awesome planner for my work life 🙂
