Chocolate and peanut butter go together like mint and chocolate and tacos and tequila.

It is one of the great combinations of the world. Don’t fight me on this (Someone has in the past and they lost (obviously…)).

Unfortunately, most chocolate and peanut butter combinations aren’t all that great (health wise) making them a snack or dessert we tend to feel guilty about.

Luckily, I have the perfect recipe that is guaranteed to destroy any guilt you may have after eating these delicious keto chocolate peanut butter cups. And no, this recipe does not ruin the ultimate chocolate peanut butter combination.

It uses healthy dark chocolate and creamy peanut butter to replicate the ultimate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup combination.

Sounds awesome, right? No guilt, great imitation of the ultimate chocolate candy and fairly easy to make?

Yup! These keto chocolate peanut butter cups are all that and more!

Here is the delicious keto chocolate peanut butter cup recipe from All Day I Dream About Food that will guarantee to replace your Reese’s craving!

Ingredients

  • 6 Ounces Lily's Dark Chocolate (or preferred dark chocolate) chopped/chips
  • 1/2 Ounce Cocoa Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Sweetener (I prefer Swerve)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Place muffin liners in muffin pan of your choice. Depending on the size of muffin pan you use, depends on the total amount of chocolate peanut butter cups you get.

  2. In a skillet melt chocolate and cocoa butter together stirring until the mixture becomes smooth

  3. Take the mixture and pour a small amount into each muffin liner. You want to save the remaining chocolate to pour over the peanut butter. Do not use all of the chocolate (or simply make more). Freeze 10 minutes.

  4. In a microwaveable safe bowl heat peanut butter and butter on high for 1 minute. Whisk in the powdered sweetener and vanilla extract.

  5. Remove chocolate cups from the freezer and fill in the cups with the peanut butter mixture leaving enough space to cover with the remaining chocolate. Return to freezer for another 10 minutes.

  6. If you have remaining chocolate reheat over low heat then pour the remaining chocolate on top of the peanut butter and let chill for another 20 minutes.

  7. If you do not have remaining chocolate, simply let the cups set in the freezers and enjoy after about 20 minutes of setting!

Recipe Notes

I would leave the peanut butter cups in the freezer until you are ready to eat them however you can leave them in the fridge as well.

You can purchase molds or use muffin pans. If you want smaller chocolate peanut butter cups, simply you a mini muffin pan, if you want larger, use a larger pan. You may need to adjust the amount of chocolate and peanut butter you put in based on the amount you choose to make.

I did not use this pan for this recipe this time, however I would prefer more chocolate peanut butter cups that are smaller so I will use it for all of my future Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups!

Regular Sized Muffin Pan

I did use this size pan for my Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and although they were too big (at not fault of the pan) they still worked well!
