List of Top 10 Romantic Comedies

It is no secret to anyone that my favorite genre of book is a Romantic Comedy. I love being able to escape into the world of the characters in the book and for a couple of hours forget about my problems and worries.

And yes, I do believe in Happily Ever Afters. This is why, the following list of laugh out loud, romantic comedy books all have happy endings. *Spoiler alert*

I am pretty sure when my mom got me a Kindle while in middle school she regretted it almost immediately. Now, almost 10 years later, I have a impressive collection of well over 1,000 books.

As you can imagine, having read so many books has made me quite picky to the books I read now. I look at the rating of the book, the length of the book, the reviews of the book and I read the sample before buying it (yay Kindle!). Yes, I am picky. I have to be. Without going through these criteria I will read books and waste money on books that take me a couple of hours to read (anything less than 200 pages), have a cliff hanger ending/not so happily ever after, or I will dislike the characters among other things. This is why I created my list of my top Romantic Comedies.

I will tell you, it was hard to pick only 10. I narrowed it down to the ones that I read the most often and have the best “feel good” to them. I am sure I am missing some, and if that is the case I’ll be sure to update this post as soon as possible!

Book #1: The Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne

This book is one of the best romantic comedies that I have read in a long time. By far. The wit between the characters made me laugh out loud several times (and yes, I mean literally laugh out loud..). I won’t spend too much time on this book as you can get a full review of the book by going to my book Review “Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne“.

Book #2: The Foxe and the Hound by R.S Grey

This book is amazing. The hilarious interactions between Madeleine and Adam was so well done. I fell in love with Madeleine as soon as she was introduced into the book. Adam might seem a little rude at first, but I can tell you, that doesn’t go past the first couple of chapters. You will fall in love with him faster then you fall in love with Madeleines dog, Mouse.

Book #3: The Ending I Want by Samantha Towle

The Ending I Want by Samantha Towle is a great book to read. The characters mesh so well together and my heart pulled for Liam throughout the entire book. He had no idea the surprise that was coming from Taylor and when he finally did find out, my heart ached for what he was feeling. Although this book is not what I would consider a romantic comedy, I would definitely recommend reading it as it is one of the best books I’ve read. Samantha Towle has a way of building the characters together and making them hard to envision apart.

Book #4: Love, Lust and Liam by Sandi Lynn

This book is definitely a book that is different from many other romantic comedies you may read. The reason for this is because the hero in this story, Liam, is the one that wants to relationship, not the heroine, Avery. Both of these characters are incredibly well developed and I loved the way they were introduced to each other in the book. And I use the word “Introduced” lightly. Definitely a great read by this author!

Book #5: Crash Series by Nicole Williams

This is one of the few series that I have read that kept my attention all the way through. I read this book back in high school and I can still remember the characters and the story line well. I will forewarn you that this series does start with the characters in high school and ends with them out of college. I loved the way the author grew the characters from immature teenagers to strong adults.

Book #6: Scoring Wilder by R.S Grey

You will figure out by the end of this blog post that R.S Grey is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE authors. She has incredible books and although I can’t write about every single one in the blog post, I do recommend every single book! Scoring Wilder is a book that has great humor between the main characters. And unlike many books, I absolutely loved the relationship that the author developed with the characters best friends. Both the hero and heroine had friendships that were laugh out loud funny and that make you wish that you had friendships like that (if you aren’t lucky enough to already have them).

Book #7: The Design by R.S Grey

Can I just say, I LOVE when an author gives you two epilogues! Epilogues are my favorite part of every single book. So when they do two for one book? I am in heaven. Grey developed the characters extremely well in this book. Most of the humor in this book comes for inside the head of the main character, Cameron. The dialogue that went through her head was hysterical and made me want to know her as a real person!

Book #8: Kulti by Mariana Zapata

This is another book that is not so much a romantic comedy, although there are many funny moments throughout the book. The main character Sal, is hysterical but she is also one of those people you want to know. She loves her family and cares about the success of others. She wants to help others in whatever way that she can. Kulti is definitely a character that you warm up to throughout the book. He is so straight forward that the conversations these two have together are quite funny. At the same time, you love him for his honesty.

Book #9: The Worst Best Man by Lucy Score

This book was a book that I read recently. I loved the main character and how she was so independent. She didn’t want to rely on anyone for anything and she stood up for herself in a way that many wish that they could. I not only loved the main character but I also loved her family and the interactions they had when together. Those moments were some of the funniest in the book. This is definitely a book that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun read!

Book #10: Cake by J. Bengtsson

Last but not least, Cake. These characters were awesome! I loved the way Casey wasn’t afraid to tease Jake throughout the book even though he was a big name rockstar. She knew some of his history but never held it against him which was amazing. These characters were funny and so well developed. This was the first book that I’ve read from this author and I was not disappointed! I also enjoyed the shenanigans of the supporting characters throughout the book. Supporting characters can make the book better or worse and in this case, they definitely made it better!

  1. I’ve never read romantic comedy books. The Walk of Shame and Foxe and the Hound sound really good! I enjoy reading a lot of thrillers and some romance novels as well. Thank You for the suggestions!
